Extrusion tower relocation

Dismantling a 14-metre high extruding tower needed the use of a 100-tonne crane through the roof of the installation site

Done & Dusted.

Dismantling a 14-metre high extruding tower needed the use of a 100-tonne crane through the roof of the installation site, some distance away on an adjacent road.

D&D engineers diligently and safely, dismantled all the manageable “man handle” components off the tower with chain blocks and heavy-duty fork lift trucks to reduce the weight prior to lifting with the crane.

We then hoisted the complete tower to enable removal of the ground section support legs and from there on, the removal of the remaining four floor levels as they were lowered to ground level.

Delivery of dismantled tower from Scunthorpe to Southampton for installation was next.

The installation in Southampton was made using a crane inside the building for erecting the tower and all auxiliary rewind and unwind units.

Just 20 days after Delivery, the tower was installed and Deployed with Deep gratitude from the new owners of the extrusion tower.

Dedicated to customer satisfaction, we pride ourselves on our Diligence and Devotion to clients in a wide range of industries.
